Light Up Old Trail

Cost:
We will be ordering the luminaries in sets of 10, at a cost of $5.00 per set. This price covers the bulk-rate price of candles, white waxed bags, and sand to anchor them. We estimate that 3-4 sets (or 30-40 luminaries) per residence would be more than adequate to line sidewalks and front yards of an average size Old Trail lot; if you have a smaller or larger lot, you should adjust your orders accordingly.

Deadline to Order:
To place your order, please complete this form by next SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3.

Payment:
Place checks, payable to Robert Rockwell, in the envelope attached to the Rockwells’ mailbox at 7124 Hampstead Drive. (No cash, please!) Because the candle supplier needs full payment before delivery, advance payment is greatly appreciated. However, if you can’t drop off your check beforehand, please bring it to the pick-up on December 10.

Candle Pick-up:
On Saturday, December 10, from 8-9:30 a.m., we will distribute candles and bags in our garage (alley-side). If you can’t make it, please arrange for a neighbor to claim your luminaries; if that’s not possible, let us know, and we can try to make other arrangements. On that same day, a sand pile will be available in a convenient Old Trail location; stay tuned for specific sand details!

Volunteers Needed:
Given the volume of candles we anticipate distributing, we would welcome the support of 2-3 volunteers who can aid in the distribution on Saturday morning (December 10th). Hot coffee will be provided! If last year’s distribution is anything like this year’s, your participation will make the candle-counting and distributing much easier for all of us — and more fun, too!

Light Up Old Trail Details:
Plan to set out your candles and bags and/or light your trees on Sunday, December 11, around dusk (approximately 5 p.m.) We then encourage you to meander through the neighborhood, enjoying the beauty of Old Trail and the season.
